A Welcoming Winter

I think I’ve been asleep

Not bothering to check the time

Not a moment disturbed or peaked

Light leaks through my window shade

Hitting my eyes

Causing me to stir and wake

Then there you are

In your woken glory I’m stunned

Between sheets and your beauty before me

Never have I seen a winter morning

So warm and welcoming
