Just Grains of Sand

Life is between my toes in grains of sand

Falling from my feet

Pooling under me

For a moment present, right in front of me

Then gone into the pile of memories

Forgotten along with the other grains of sand

Some stick

Some fall

It always passes too quickly from my grasp

That’s life as they say

Not meant to be bound to its past
