Strings of Anxiety

The tension taught on the fine threads woven across me

Electrified without power

Ready to surge and worry me

I delicately step between the lines

Not to disturb the balance of chaos and peace

Either way I cannot sleep

Without its grip tightening

Closing off the world around me

Abandoning the need for air

It takes control-unnaturally

I no longer have hold on the senses around me
